Thompson Hotels has officially made its Italian debut with the opening of the 69-room Thompson Rome.
Some say “do as the Romans do,” and Thompson has taken that very seriously, filling its hotel housed in a historic building with beautiful art, bringing in a chef with mage-like expertise in food, and throwing in a rooftop with magnificent panoramic views.

The latter, comprising a sculptural wall and inlaid floor, were rediscovered during the renovation after spending decades hidden from view.
The interiors also boast an art collection featuring works by artists associated with the Scuola Romana and Scuola di Piazza del Popolo alongside contemporary names including Francesco Del Drago, Giangaetano Patanè, and Guido Strazza.
