The official reopening of Borgo Tre Vaselle in Torgiano, a historic wine tourism hub strategically located between Perugia and Assisi, is scheduled for late June.
Purchased by the Lungarotti family in the 1970s, the complex was transformed into a refined relais in 1978. This was a pioneering initiative for its time: the Lungarottis understood the economic and cultural value of the inseparable combination of tourism and wine, anticipating contemporary trends in structured wine tourism by decades.
This deep bond continues today in the village's cultural institutions managed by the Lungarotti Foundation: the Muvit (Wine Museum), which traces the history of nectar from the 3rd millennium BC to the present day, analyzing the social, religious, artisanal, and artistic aspects that have accompanied the evolution of various civilizations, and the Moo (Olive and Oil Museum), which offers visitors a rigorous historical and anthropological journey into Mediterranean agricultural civilization.
